Richard A. Kaplin, a partner in the firm, is an alumnus of Brooklyn College and graduated cum laude from Brooklyn Law School. He contributed to the Brooklyn Law Review and received two American Jurisprudence Awards in the areas of Torts and New York Civil Practice.
Prior to his association with DiConza, Larocca & DiCunto, Mr. Kaplin was associated with Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman and Dicker where he developed expertise in the area of commercial litigation. Mr. Kaplin formerly served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Victory Memorial Hospital and as legal counsel to the Bay Ridge Federal Savings Bank.
His areas of expertise include commercial litigation and commercial and residential real estate financing. He is admitted to both the New York and New Jersey State Bars. His professional affiliations include membership in the Bar Associations of Kings County and New York State.
